Backstory:
Oyster is a Changeling from the beautiful city of J’niss. His strange appearance doesn’t bother him. He is a fun-loving man and an adventurous soul. He joined an adventuring party as soon as he could, and he has been adventuring ever since.
Oyster loves his home city dearly and is always ready to defend it. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, and he hates the corrupt and evil in the world. He is a serious man and doesn’t joke around much, but he will often lighten the mood with a good joke. He is a kind man to the friendless and a dangerous foe to the evil.
When he is working on his runes, he often uses magic to make the process easier, but he doesn’t like using magic if he can avoid it. Ironically, he is the only member of his adventuring party with any magical ability, and he uses this to his full advantage when fighting foes.
One day, he hopes to find a mate who can match him. And he also hopes to find a way to spawn more Changelings, as there isn’t currently a known way to do so.
Oyster is not the brightest star in the sky, but he means well. He loves his friends. Generally, he turns into a bear, although he is also capable of turning into a fish, a wolf, a badger, or anything. This makes it hard for most species to accept him, so he usually travels with other Changelings.
His work with runes has led to a general proficiency in the way magic works, and he uses this knowledge to aid his adventuring party. He is a very fast learner, and he is able to make some very strong runes, but at the cost of durability.
He is known for creating several extremely powerful Runes that turn the bearer into a different species, such as a bird or a deer. He uses this power to aid his party in dire situations.
Personality:
Oyster is very self-confident and headstrong. He is patient and understanding, but he can also be very stubborn when he needs to be. He is generally very happy and loves to have fun. He is always looking for a friend or an adventure, and he is not afraid to speak his mind.
He’s a bit of a glutton, and he’s not afraid to eat just about anything. He is very loyal to his friends and provides a very calming and reassuring presence in any situation. More than anything, he is deeply dedicated to the people he cares about.
His sense of humor tends to be a bit dark at times. He especially likes puns and he is a fan of wordplay. He tends to make jokes and puns about the strangest things, and he is always giving compliments to people. He is a very proud man and won’t let anyone say anything bad about his friends or his home city.
